dBu Ranch Recorders

The ultimate San Diego recording studio experience!

Make records on one the greatest analog equipment collections south of Hollywood.

Enjoy your days with open mountain views and your nights under a magnificent star filled sky.

San Diego locals can get world class audio recordings without the hassle of going to L.A.

Angelenos can refresh their creative energy in the country without battling the big city.

Experience value in working with a Grammy winning engineer and Top 40 music producer.

This studio boasts a 32-input Neve 8014, a Studer A827 24-track analog tape machine synchronized to a Pro Tools HDX system, and an extensive retro gear collection at the ready.

Situated on two acres, the 1650sf facility has a large open A-frame wood and stone clad drum room with a 20' peak ceiling height.

There's also a dedicated piano room with a Yamaha C7, Hammond C3 and Leslie, Rhodes piano, and a Yamaha CP-80.

Iso Booth.jpg

The studio has 5 available isolation spaces, an EMT 140 stereo plate reverb, and a spacious control room.

The design philosophy of the studio from the beginning was to immerse the artist in the mountain atmosphere, such that breathtaking views are available from nearly every room.

Mix Position 2.jpg

In today's post COVID-19 world, we saw the value of live event streaming so we integrated a full DMX lighting system into the studio so artists could capture exciting live content on video AND couple it with the front end typically reserved for high end L.A. music studios.

And, as if all of this wasn't enough, artists have access to onsite (and offsite) lodging, a pool, hot tub, outdoor grill and patio area and can enjoy local hiking, biking, casino's and wine tasting during breaks.

A studio like this would normally cost a fortune but our destination studio location offers unbeatable A-Room rates. Call 310-413-0845 for details on how to schedule time.
